Why this exists
Most local service businesses in the South Bay are quietly losing work to whoever ranks above them. Not because they're worse at the job — because a customer searched on a phone, saw a site that didn't load properly, and called the next name on the list.
The usual options are both bad. Agencies quote five figures, want a monthly retainer, and hand your project to whoever happens to be free that week. Website builders are cheap, but you are renting forever and you still have to build the thing yourself between jobs.
So there is a third option. One person, three projects at a time, each one designed properly. Three is the number that makes the hour on the phone and the unlimited revisions possible in the first place. You buy a finished site and then it belongs to you. No retainer starts, nothing renews, and you can hand it to somebody else next year without asking me.
How this is different from what you've been pitched
- You see the work before you pay
- A homepage for your business, rather than a portfolio of somebody else's. That is why there is no hard sell anywhere on this site. You can just look at the work.
- The price is on the website
- A website project starts at a published number, and the page says what moves it up or down. Systems work is quoted per project, because an ordering system for one kitchen and one for three branches are not the same job, and I would rather say so than print a figure I would take back on the phone.
- Three at a time, and the site says which
- The homepage shows how many of the three slots are running right now and what stage each build is at. It reads from the real list rather than being typed in by hand, so it is occasionally inconvenient and always true.
- You own it when it's done
- Every login, every file, the domain, the hosting. The relationship ends when the work ends, and that is on purpose.
- No stock photos of strangers
- Your site shows your work. If there isn't a real photo for a section, the section gets redesigned so it doesn't need one.
